it seems like the perfect photo to represent "where i am" right now...
we have finished our schooling for the year! actually we finished at the end of may, so i am able to put my energies into some things that have been lurking on my to-do list for awhile.
we also have some "big" changes coming up in the fall, which i will let you all in on later...
until then, i am knee deep in party plans (orin is turning 10!), and organizing...lots of organizing...
going through, sorting, & organizing all of our homeschooling books & supplies...
aside from this, i am working on giving our menu a bit of an overhaul...working towards the themes of "nourishing traditions" & the recipes of our ancestors...but also reconnecting with the reasons why i fell in love with waldorf...
i have loads of little side projects that i will be posting about soon as well...getting back into our rhythm, daily grains, a snack & meal menu rotation...
getting up a bit earlier, 4/5 am to get a bit more done...but this is fun! my friend katie (of good things watkins ) recently spoke of making order out of chaos, and that, too, is where i am.
taking pleasure in life's simple, daily accomplishments...the pure joys of motherhood, housework, etc...
baking, washing/laundry, sewing/mending, & reading up on ways to "improve" both our home/family life & our homestead...
just because things are useful & practical, does not mean they can't be beautiful...life is good!

You're awesome, Jessi! I love you're writing, and your family is SO blessed to have you as a mama. xoxo
